Hump Day!
This morning I woke up & surprised hubby & baby with some homemade French Toast, oh man it was yummy(at least the few bites I had were yummy!) After breakfast I wanted to do another favor for hubby & I volunteered to mow a large part of the lawn for him. This will be the 3rd time that I've mowed the lawn to help out because he just hates to do it & I try to take that stress off of him when I can. After mowing the front I came inside to an unhappy hubby as I didn't mow straight lines & apparently the "bagger" was full. I seriously consider not doing it anymore but he seriously waits until the grass isn't looking so hot to do it! We have neighbors on both sides who are very into their lawns(watering several times a day/expensive neverending landscaping) so it's extremely hard to go outside & see that ours isn't always cut & fabulous like theirs. I have to remember that my husband is lazy at times & with his schedule he doesn't have all the time to cut the grass since it's more than likely wet in the morning hours. My mother in law says to call the grass cutting service because it's not worth it to fight over who does it, how they do it, or when they do it but hubby doesn't want that; I am at a loss.

Completely Consumed
I will be the first to admit that a large chunk of my life is usually reserved for the viewing of my precious reality television, but lately I have been taken over by a new series! My new love is the series on Lifetime, Army Wives, I know that it's been on for a whole 5 seasons, but I adore it & have actually managed to accomplish this in oh...about a week and a half...that's about 18 episodes per season. I'm officially obsessed but I'm alright with it.
My schedule for tomorrow consists of getting up nice and early and taking the munchkin on a little endeavor with me to get the car inspected & registration updated. I sure hope that he can behave for all of this & that we can make it home & spend a little bit of time with Chris since we only have a bit of time before we leave for Virginia.
Speaking of my trip to Virginia, I will be leaving on Friday morning headed up to spend a little time with friends and family. I'll be going up alone so I'm hoping with a little help from the DVD player that me and Bug can make the trip bareable.
I haven't made any purchases lately, other than this pea green 3 quarters sleeve cardigan that I am in love with at the moment, it has the 3 cutest pin wheel flowers on the chest. Well that is everything up to date, I'll type more, if more happens! :)

On this gorgeous day I am...
Sitting at my dining room table listening to March Madness(not by choice/simply from sheer laziness!) & my child loudly jabbing at the keys on his toddler piano. Our afternoon wagon play date has been cancelled by our neighbor, but we probably will still go, just a little later & on our dime which is obviously better for us. I'm totally unsure of what I'll be dining on for dinner as I've been horrible to my body lately but seem to have kept that previously mentioned 5 lbs off for the week. I've mostly spent my week enjoying time with my little man & browsing through homes online back home, just trying to get a good feel for what's out there & where we even want to live as a family this time around. I really do wish a job would just "pop Up" for Chris, but with this economy I know how grateful we are for the one he has now.
Speaking of the one he has now, he hasn't been having a great time there & actually came home early on Tuesday, see his jobs has impossible standards; Chris is the best Operator they have there, best production, quality, & no customer complaints but that never is enough for 1 of his managers. Chris has been promised 1st shift since he took the job of operator almost 2 years ago when our whole life changed into this mess of a schedule wreck & has been lied to ever since, so he finally started asking questions now. Nobody has an answer so he's going to some pretty high up people wanting some justifications & hopefully he will get the answers he wants & we can figure this out in a way that will please everybody.
This weekend is the first full weekend he has had off in a looong time..

Up to the Minute
So my updates have been few and far between because I've been dealing with some very sleepy side effects from my medication & just spending time with my boys.
On Saturday my medication went from 25mg a night up to 50 mg & man have I felt it! I feel like I need toothpicks in my eyes even after sleeping 8 hours a night + a 30 min nap during the day. My energy just isn't there, also in the past week I've managed to lose 5 lbs no doubt from my new medication because I've been carrying on my normal eating habits. Even as I type this my fingertips feel heavy & sluggish.
No new plans for the week, just hoping my body is able to catch up with this new dosage & that I can update this more but for now that it all.

My Saturday Adventures & Night 1 of Medication Administration
It should be no surprise that last night was my 1st night on my medication & it wasn't that bad, my worst side effect was insomnia! I couldn't fall asleep no matter what I did & if all else fails I am usually exhausted by 10!
Everybody(not really everyone, it just really seemed that way) in my neighborhood was going into town with their family last night so I did too. I made the trip out to Mooresville(town) to pick up a surprise for Chris. I was expecting to pay $30 to buy Inception in Blu ray for him but instead I only paid $5 because we had 2 $10 reward zone certificates & it was on sale for $24.99, also the version that was on sale was the blu-ray, dvd, & digital copy. He texted me while we were out and asked if I could pick him up some buffalo wings, so I did & then Bug & I made our way home.
That night I took my migraine medication for the first time, I was so scared of the things that could've happened. I made my grocery list & prepared things around the house ahead of time to make it easier on myself the next day in case I was a head case. I took my meds expecting to be knocked out for the night instantly & to my surprise I was wide awake...for...a few...more hours!
The next morning I couldn't wait to wake up & start my day because I wasn't tired & felt like I had been in my bed forever! Last night I took my medication again & didn't lay down until 11(I usually am sleeping around 9), & I was still lieing there wide awake while Chris slept. This med is not fun & I'm thinking of switching it to morning since it seems to not have the drowsy effect on me, but we'll see.
This morning I couldn't wait until 8am so that I could call my dermatologist, my hands look absolutely hideous & feel even worse. I realized I needed to call the dr when I couldn't really bend my hands to write yesterday & had a flipping itching attack for hours on end last night! Thankfully they could work me in & when I got in the dr didn't really have an answer other than to give me a cortisone shot in my buttocks. He says the effects will last for about 4 weeks then I will need UV light treatment twice a week every week for 6 weeks, so I thought of one better; we are going to look into tanning packages at local salons since we can probably get them for cheaper and I don't need to plan an appointment.

My recount of the past 3 days
As promised, this blog will consist of Thursday nights happenings dreams as well as a review of my Friday & today (Saturday).
Thursday afternoon Caleb wasn't willing to take a nap & as a result he was a force to be reckoned with! Around 5:00 I was whipped, admitted defeat, & headed over to the mother in law's house, baby Bug didn't eat too much while over there, but at least he was entertained for a few hours, & I had some back up. That night was bath night but he was so tired that we just came back home, he had a bottle, & went on to bed.
That night I had some seriously weird dreams; after the first dream I woke up in hysterics, it was some awful dream about hubby being tortured & just wow, it felt so darn real! My second dream of the night centered around an actual true happening; in high school I never had my instrument for band; I would lie, write notes from my parents, & hide it in the instrument room. It wasn't that I hated playing, i just seriously hated playing alone for play tests & such; I would get so flipping nervous. Anyway that was what my dream was about, I had to play for a concert that my mother was attending & the band director wouldn't let me play in it because I never practiced with the band! Boo...
Friday was pretty much a wash out, we didn't go anywhere; just pretty much hung out around home & played all day. Today, Chris has to work again so it's just me and Bug, but we're going to make the best of it & the fact that it's rainy & we can't really go for a wagon ride. So I'll leave this post with a picture of a better day; the first day we played in the wagon!

My busy busy Thursday (Part 1)
Yesterday was Thursday(in most parts of the world); which means I had my neuro appt scheduled for 11:15! Chris has been sick as I mentioned in a previous post, but has had to work until 3am every night, when he got home I was stuffy on one side of my face so he presented me with some of "his" sinus medication. Now he knows me oh so well & felt the need to tell me that this medication doesn't make him drowsy so it shouldn't have that effect on me, well well well; I took this medicine at 4am & when I woke up with Caleb at 7, I was completely zonked, so sleepy & just drowsy! I spent the morning chasing Caleb around & laying on the sofa!
Fast forward to my neuro appointment: I was so excited to be in the company of someone who was educated in my problems. It was my first time at the office & I had to drive a little over 20 minutes to get there so I left with plenty of time to spare. When I arrived the receptionist was completely surprised that I had filled out the 12 pages of paperwork that she instructed me to fill out when making the appointment(duh!) & I was terrified since I had 3 people ahead of me! I waited about an hour, then went back; it was such a great office visit, the doctor was friendly, educated, & really listened to my symptoms. He did some tests on my hands, feet, & eyes. We then discussed the treatment for my diagnosed "vascular migraines", basically treatment consists of a choice of 6 medications; 2 of which are not FDA approved, the next 2 are anti-depressants, & the final 2 are split into 2 categories (weight gain/weight loss). It was obvious which one we started on, so I just am waiting until Chris is home to start the medication. I will be taking a 50mg dose every night for 2 weeks then upping to 100mg a night after the introductory period.
This medicine scares me, because when I read research online the side effects that people complain about are as follows: lips/fingers/toes tingling or burning, trouble finding words to speak, dramatic & unhealthy weight loss. Any normal person would be afraid of this, but if it wards off migraines I guess I should try it for the 2 weeks. I'll keep this updated with how it goes & how it makes me feel; if I can "find my words"
Stay tuned this afternoon for a peak into my afternoon yesterday & a recount of my dreams last night!

The Up's & Down's of Wednesday
Yesterday turned out to be a very productive day for me, I vacummed the entire house + cleaned both bathrooms + took the baby for a wagon ride this afternoon! Once little Bug goes to bed I will be mopping the wood floors & finished laundry(which I forgot to mention above)
Fast forward to today, I woke up feeling like I didn't want to look the way I look anymore, so I did someting about it. I talked to Chris about wanting to make myself eat healthier so I made a shopping list loosely based around the South Beach Diet. We got meats & vegetables, along with a few sugar free snack alternatives. Tonight I will have slices of rotisserie chicken and corn or spinach on the side.
In other happenings, today Apple revealed the expected release date of the iPad 2 & I was beyond excited, as my back story: we owned an iPad 1 Summer 2010, we purchased it for my car ride hating baby for our 4th of July Myrtle beach trip(5 hours away). After we got back the thing sat in the car for somewhere around 2 weeks before we even thought to go get it, so we decided to sell it & got tons of responses & full price. Now, I Want another one, the new one looks amazing & has tons of upgrades so we'll have to see. I just got my MacBook so it's simply a case of the *I Wants* & hopefully hubby can extinguish it, although he loves tech stuff & has some serious interest & over-time to go with the release!
As if I didn't have enough on my plate; I called my Neurologist office(whom I have an appt. with at 8:00 tomorrow) to make sure they had received my paperwork & to my surprise they didn't have me down for an appointment. I called in last week & apparently the computers went down Friday & caused them to lose everybody's appointment, so they tried to "work me in " in several spots but nothing really worked & I couldn't wait until next Friday because vision loss due to migraine's is pretty serious. Long story, short I have an appointment tomorrow at 11:15, so I'll be spending my afternoon figuring out what to do with Bug, since it interferes with his nap time. :(

At this moment
Right now I am currently sitting indian-style in Caleb's room writing this blog & in the back of my mind I am processing the fact that I more than likely have seconds to get this post out. Where is Chris you may ask?, well he went out to pick up some cold medicine because he decided the stuff that I used last week really didn't "work" for him! How Rude! Anywho I am feeling much better & it would figure that way after having to cancel my visits with friends while in Virginia a little over a week ago! :( Oh well, I'm not crying over spilled milk as we are set to move there soon enough! :)
At this moment:
I am loving how fun & portable my new MacBook Pro is, so very thankful for my Valentine's day gift from hubs!
Irritated with the dog & wishing he would find a place to go instead of staring me down...so so harsh, considering yesterday was his bday! Happy 6th birthday Bailey!
Coping with the fact that my child has many more teething episodes to come even after the "few" sleepless nights we've completed
