It should be no surprise that last night was my 1st night on my medication & it wasn't that bad, my worst side effect was insomnia! I couldn't fall asleep no matter what I did & if all else fails I am usually exhausted by 10!
Everybody(not really everyone, it just really seemed that way) in my neighborhood was going into town with their family last night so I did too. I made the trip out to Mooresville(town) to pick up a surprise for Chris. I was expecting to pay $30 to buy Inception in Blu ray for him but instead I only paid $5 because we had 2 $10 reward zone certificates & it was on sale for $24.99, also the version that was on sale was the blu-ray, dvd, & digital copy. He texted me while we were out and asked if I could pick him up some buffalo wings, so I did & then Bug & I made our way home.
That night I took my migraine medication for the first time, I was so scared of the things that could've happened. I made my grocery list & prepared things around the house ahead of time to make it easier on myself the next day in case I was a head case. I took my meds expecting to be knocked out for the night instantly & to my surprise I was wide awake...for...a few...more hours!
The next morning I couldn't wait to wake up & start my day because I wasn't tired & felt like I had been in my bed forever! Last night I took my medication again & didn't lay down until 11(I usually am sleeping around 9), & I was still lieing there wide awake while Chris slept. This med is not fun & I'm thinking of switching it to morning since it seems to not have the drowsy effect on me, but we'll see.
This morning I couldn't wait until 8am so that I could call my dermatologist, my hands look absolutely hideous & feel even worse. I realized I needed to call the dr when I couldn't really bend my hands to write yesterday & had a flipping itching attack for hours on end last night! Thankfully they could work me in & when I got in the dr didn't really have an answer other than to give me a cortisone shot in my buttocks. He says the effects will last for about 4 weeks then I will need UV light treatment twice a week every week for 6 weeks, so I thought of one better; we are going to look into tanning packages at local salons since we can probably get them for cheaper and I don't need to plan an appointment.
